  1.      Here are some of the things than I'm working on for
  2. MicroCook v.2.0. This version should be done sometimes this
  3. summer. 
  4.      The registration fee for version 2.0 will probably go up
  5. some, so if you register v.1.5 now, you will get version 2.0 
  6. FREE in the mail when released. 
  7.   
  8. * Increase database capacity to about 300,000 recipes per
  9.   database, AND you can still have as many different databases as
  10.   you want.
  11. * Multiple small index files per database. Like one index for
  12.   each category. Also can create new index from a search, or from
  13.   a new import. 
  14. * Separate input fields in Ingredients for Quantity, Measurement
  15.   type and Ingredient.
  16. * Automatic re-calculation of Quantity when number of servings
  17.   changes.
  18. * Choice of Quantity in fractions or decimal.
  19. * Customizing colors for backgrounds, menus, windows, etc.
  20. * 25 or 50 line screen mode if VGA monitor.
  21. * New name for Servings with 5 character descriptive field
  22.   (Yield?). This so CUPS, SERV, CAKES, DOZEN can be used to
  23.   describe the amount the recipe yield.
  24. * Pop-up Metric/English measurement converter calculator.
  25. * Pop-up Fahrenheit to/from Celsius calculator/converter.
  26. * Move recipes between databases/indexes. When moved, delete from
  27.   parent database. Same as Export with deletion.
  28. * Copy recipes between databases/indexes. When copied, keep both 
  29.   old and new copy.
  30. * Create Temporary database/index during Imports for recipes that
  31.   need some work or recipes that's reported as duplicate, but
  32.   might not be.
  33. * Redirect Imported recipes to other than loaded database/Index.
  34.   This is so if you have separate databases for different ethnic
  35.   food, you will be able to direct them to the correct database
  36.   if you found a Chinese recipes together with all the Italian. 
  37. * Create new database/index from search.
  38. * More descriptive search. Which fields, etc.
  39. * Split window to compare duplicates during Import. This to see
  40.   if it's a real duplicate, or only one with the same name.
  41. * Print to 3x5" and/or 4x6" index cards. Print in condensed or
  42.   normal print. Pause after each side so card can be turned over,
  43.   or cont. on next card.
  44. * Input field for nutrition (fat, calories, etc.).
  45. * Input field for source/author of recipe.
  46. * Import for QBOOK, CompuChef and other formats (which one do you
  47.   want to see? (I need sample ASCII or database files, and if
  48.   possible, a description of file format)). 
  49. * List of standard categories for easy and "standardized"
  50.   categories throughout the databases. Can be edited by user.
  51.   Pick from list in pop-up window. 
  52. * Use of Overlays in MCOOK.EXE file for more memory available for
  53.   Index/recipes and SHELL to DOS. Will also load overlays in EMS
  54.   or XMS memory if available.
